When your weekdays are city-centric, weekends spent in parks and gardens are like miniature vacations. The Brooklyn Botanic garden is an oasis. We stopped by to see the cherry blossoms in first bloom before the around-the-block festival lineup on April 29. The trees are in bloom from late March through mid-May. There's still lots to check out after cherry blossom season. We could have spent all day in the Japanese garden.
