Inspired by the great outdoors down parkas of the American 1970's, the Batten-Down Parka gives the impression of being a modern revision to a classic favorite. It finds a good balance between outdoor and city, having a striking look while also being warm and durable.
Starting with Fall/Winter 2022, we will be taking our on-going Parka design with all the details our customers have come to love, and we're making the Batten-Down Parka with a new partner in Japan: a factory with a 130 year history producing high quality uniforms and blankets. The reasons why we were drawn to this factory include their excellent craftsmanship and attention to detail as well as the care they take to clean all down and feather using local mineral rich waters. Their unique cleaning process removes pollutants and makes the material even fluffier. We still love the first version of the Batten-Down Parka, but we consider V.2 to be a level up.
We're delighted to continue to expand the Parka palate this season with 2 new colors (Dark Brown and Dark Red).

All Steven Alan brand items ship with USPS Priority Mail for FREE, all the time.
We offer expedited domestic two day air shipping via UPS and FedEx on Steven Alan brand items for a flat rate of $25, for any number of items to any domestic location within the United States. All expedited orders placed before 2pm EST will ship same day, with exception to holidays and weekends.
All partner brand items ship via USPS Priority for $9 or FREE with orders over $150. If any partner brand items are in your cart, and your cart is under $150, you will be charged $9 for shipping. This usually takes 2-3 days for East Coast and 2-4 days for West Coast, but can take up to a week depending on your location.
All orders to Alaska or Hawaii will incur a $25 shipping fee as we ship from the East Coast.
